  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 french loaf toast bread, cut into 1/2 inch slices
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter, for drizzling
  • 1/4 cup peacans (optional)

Melt 1/4 cup butter and mix with brown sugar in a bowl.

Spread the mixture all over the bottom of a 9x13 baking dish.

Add your eggs into a large bowl with the milk, vanilla and powdered sugar. Blend it together.

Line your baking sheet with bread. It's okay if it overlaps slightly.

Use a ladle to pour half the egg mixture over the bread so all of the pieces get coated.

Sprinkle half of your brown sugar over the bread.

Then add half of your pecans.

Drizzle half of the melted butter over top.

Add the second layer of bread and drizzle the remaining butter.

Use your ladle to pour the rest of the egg mixture.

Sprinkle on the remaining brown sugar and pecans.

Cover with foil and refrigerate overnight.

In the morning, preheat your oven to 350 degrees and then cook for 45 minutes.
