If you've ever shared your home with an old dog, you know just how special they are. All dogs are loving and sweet, but the older they get the nicer and friendlier they seem to become.

In his photos for Old Faithful, a collection of portraits capturing aging dogs in all their glory, Canadian photographer Pete Thorne features dogs with big hearts and lots of grey hair.

Sometimes Thorne has a hard time getting to all his models to pose just right - most of them are deaf or blind, so they don't follow directions well - but these photos are still really great.
