Dearly

There is a "homemade oven cleaner" on Pinterest that will make it so you never want to purchase a store-bought product ever again, according to Love What Matters.

The cleaner is made up of only four ingredient:

Dearly

Those ingredients are:

  • 1/4 cup dish soap
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • 1 cup vinegar
  • 1 1/4 cup water

The ingredients come out to be a total of $5.92 and make about a single pint of product.

One woman claimed on Love What Matters post:

I'm sold on it. [I] will never buy another oven cleaner again. Worked amazing, sprayed it on and let it sit. Hardly any effort at all to wipe it out. [...] Shake gently to combine ingredients, spray in your stove. Let sit for a little bit and voila, a brand new looking stove!

So Dearly tried the trick...

Except we sprayed it in the oven:

On top of the stove:

And inside the microwave:

We let the cleaner sit for 20 to 25 minutes before attempting to clean the appliances.

Most of the stains on the appliances came off with barely any hassle. Of course, there were some stains that took a little more effort to clean than others.

All in all, we thought this cleaner was a great alternative, especially for someone looking for an all-natural substitute to a cleaner made up of all chemicals.

Here is what the appliances looked like after cleaning:

The oven:

(Keep in mind, some of these stains are from the people who lived here before me that I couldn't remove when I first moved in. Oh, the joys of renting. However, the cleaner did remove the mess I've made myself.)

The stove top:

The microwave:

Pretty good, right?

Would you considered making this cleaner and using it at your home?
