If you can, use a fresh turmeric root, which will offer all the miraculous effects of curcumin. Here is how to prepare your delicious lemon, ginger, and turmeric tea:
Lemon Ginger Turmeric Tea- recipe
Juice of ½ lemon
1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger root or ½ teaspoon ginger powder
1 teaspoon grated fresh turmeric root or ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
2-3 twists of black pepper (to boost the bioavailability of turmeric)
1 ½ cup filtered water
2 teaspoons raw honey (optional)
In a saucepan, over medium-high heat, add the ginger and turmeric in the water, and simmer for 5-10 minutes. Before it boils, remove from heat, strain, and pour the tea into a mug. Then, add the lemon juice, and sweeten with honey.
