Jenelle Evans and her husband David Eason are no strangers to being at the center of controversy.

Viewers were first introduced to Jenelle during the season 2 premiere episode of 16 and Pregnant, which aired on MTV in February 2010. We have since watched as she battled drug addiction, mental illness and more. Evans is now a mom of three children "” Jace, Kaiser and Ensley.

Today some really upsetting news broke that David Easton has allegedly murdered her french bulldog Nugget.  According to Us Weekly, Nugget snapped at the couple's daughter, Ensley causing David to snap as well. As in he shot and killed the dog.

The Columbus County Sheriff's Department told Radar Online they received a call and

"it was relayed that the woman's husband had killed her dog."

The Sheriff's Department told Radar Online they were currently "investigating" the incident and that the 911 call was made by a male.

According to reports it is unclear what is happening now.

Jenelle only returned home to "pack a bag,"" and Us Weekly says she "doesn't feel safe with David" and "is scared and terrified" of him.

It does not appear as though the dog was prone to aggression and earlier this month David posted this video of Nugget on his Instagram:

After the news broke, Eason confirmed the story on his Instagram page.

"I dont give a damn what animal bites my baby on the face... whether it be your dog or mine, a dog is a dog and I dont put up with that shit at all," he captioned a video showing the dog snapping at the 2-year-old girl.

"I'm all about protecting my family, it is my lifes mission," he continued. "Some people are worth killing or dying for and my family means that much to me. You can hate me all you want but this isnt the first time the dog bit Ensley aggressively. The only person that can judge weather or not a animal is a danger to MY CHILD is ME."

He also shared a photo of Ensley's face after the incident.

Jenelle also posted to Instagram but did not address how Nugget died.

"Nugget... I'm crying everyday. I love you so much and I'm so sorry. I'm speechless," she captioned a photo with the pet.

"You were my side kick and knew the moment I felt bad and would cuddle with me," she continued. "You still had a lot to learn and a lot to grow from your lessons. Everyday I wake up you're not here, when I come home you're not here, when I go to bed... you're not here. You're gone forever and there's no coming back. #Heartbroken #Distraught."

Jenelle has been quite active on Twitter as well:

Whatever happened, there is no reason for him to shoot and kill the dog. It could have been taken to a shelter or the Humane Society.

Many of her fans are calling for her to leave her husband. Here are a few examples: "It starts with animals... take your babies and run girl!! Sorry for your loss," "Get out of that toxic place," "i hope your divorcing this POS asap. disgusting" and "You need to see the writing on the wall. This is a huge sign of what he's capable of."
