Whether you love them or hate them, it's hard to deny that the Kardashian sisters are in great shape. Sure, a lot of that has to do with them being wildly rich so they can afford trainers and nutritionists, but there are also some small things they do every day to help keep themselves healthy and in shape.

1. No Sugar

Hard, I know, but Kourtney Kardashian is always cautious of how much sugar she's consuming.

"I always try to avoid sugar "” especially refined sugar "” for so many reasons," Kourtney Kardashian shared in 2017. "Store-bought salad dressing can be secretly full of sugar," she said. "I learned to make my own dressing (which is so easy!) and have a handful of salads that I make regularly that I actually love."

2. Stay Hydrated

Drinking water is always important for your health, but it also helps you lose weight which a lot of people tend to forget.

"Drink more water," Kim Kardashian suggests. "You'd be surprised the difference drinking more water can make to your weight loss mission and workouts."

Khloé Kardashian echoed her sister's suggestion as well.

"I had to train myself to drink more water," she said in 2015. "I yell at [Kylie] and Kendall [Jenner] to drink more water."

3. Teamwork

Not a lot of people love the idea of working out with someone else, because having someone see you so sweaty isn't a good look, but it's actually been proven that working out with a friend will increase your average workout time by 34 minutes. The Kardashian and Jenner sisters follow this principle closely.

"My sister Kourtney had her third baby recently and she is on a workout kick to get her body back," Kylie Jenner said in 2015. "She lives up the street, so I'll join her for a trainer session sometimes."

Another source echoed these comments about Kylie.

"She loves working out with her sisters and they motivate her a lot," the source mentioned. "The girls often have a nanny or someone watch the [cousins] in the morning so they can all workout."

4. Weights

A lot of people are taking on weight training instead of cardio, Kardashians included. Kim says she focuses on strength.

"I work out about an hour-and-a-half every single day, heavy weights," she told E! News. "I don't do a lot of cardio."

Her trainer, a former bodybuilder, says Kim works out six days a week at 6 a.m., and makes sure to focus on a different body part every day. The cardio is either short, high-intensity spurts, or long, low-intensity walks.

5. No Gluten Or Dairy

Yes, the dreaded gluten- and dairy-free diets are present in Kourtney's house.

"I have always felt fine before when eating dairy and gluten, but I do believe that we have one life to live and I would like to live it feeling my best," the mom of three said in 2016. "I have noticed a great positive change in behavior with my children when we stick to a gluten-free and dairy-free diet. I don't think everyone needs to eat this way but we had muscle testing done, which showed we all have sensitivities to corn, gluten and dairy."

6. Changes, Not Dieting

Khloé has always struggled with her weight, and been very open about her journey to be her best self. In her book, Strong Looks Better Naked, the new mom suggested that dieting is not the way to go at all.

"I want to say about food, it's this: Don't diet. When you diet, you are basically setting yourself up for failure. I mean, the word die is in there!" she said. "You're not allowing yourself to enjoy the food you love, and it will only make you want it that much more. Make smart lifestyle changes, one baby step at a time."

7. Jumping Rope

The biggest part of Kourtney and Khloé's workouts is jumping rope, which is part of a workout circuit they do. After Khloé got pregnant, she had to stop jumping rope until about three months after giving birth.

"I'm able to do things now that I haven't done since before I got pregnant, which is really, really exciting!" the clothing designer said. "The other day, my trainer, Don, had me do 1,000 jump ropes in under eight minutes. I had to do that at both the start of my workout and at the end."

8. Healthy Snacks

Snacking is a part of life, and I don't want to live in a world where I can't snack. The Kardashians must feel the same way, as they always have healthy snacks on hand to keep them on track.

"I always have healthy items available to me when I'm hungry, so it's available quickly. I'd rather eat a cookie than cut up vegetables, but now I don't have an excuse," says Khloé.

Kylie also reportedly keeps almond butter packets with her, which are loaded with protein.

9. No Drinking

The Kardashian sisters often get a reputation of being big partiers, but those parties don't involve alcohol for all of them.

"Kimberly does not drink alcohol whatsoever," Khloé explained on an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians. "Pregnant or not, she's just never been into it. Kendall and Kylie are not into it. Even when Kendall goes to Europe where the drinking age is 18, she's never"”Kendall's really focused and determined."

10. Shakes

Shakes are pretty trendy for breakfast right now, but Kourtney was all over it before everyone else.

"I go through phases where I eat the same thing every morning. Right now I make a shake with whole milk, almonds, yogurt, an apple, a banana, cinnamon, cardamom powder, rose water, ice, and a scoop of vanilla [protein powder]," Kourtney said a couple of years ago.
