2018 has turned out to be a big year for L.A. Ink star-turned-makeup mogul Kat Von D.

After multiple failed relationships, including a year-long romance with Sandra Bullock's philandering ex-husband Jesse James that ended in a broken engagement, Von D got another chance at love after meeting her current husband, Rafael "Leafar Seyer" Reyes.

The couple met in 2016 when Reyes asked Von D to appear in a music video for one of his songs.

The tattoo artist, whose real name is Katherine von Drachenberg, married Reyes in a civil ceremony in February, just one week after he proposed. They threw a Gothic-themed reception later in June.

Just three months after their nuptials, the pair announced that they were expecting their first child together and that it was a boy.

On December 2, Von D took to Instagram to announce that she and Reyes have finally welcomed their bundle of joy.

In the caption of a photo of Reyes, 43, holding the newborn, the first-time mom thanked her family, friends, and fans for being patient leading up to the announcement of the baby's "long awaited arrival."

Von D and her husband named their son Leafar Von D Reyes. The first name is seemingly after his father's stage name, which is "Rafael" spelled backwards.

The new mom also revealed her and Reyes' plans for the first few weeks as new parents.

"To be honest, my husband and I want to take the next 40 days [the 4th trimester] to focus on the baby and our amazing relationship transitioning into amazing parenthood," Von D, 36, wrote. "So, please excuse us if we're not on here as much for a little while."

"Just know we love you all and thank you for all the words of love+support!" she added.

The family has not shared any other details about little Leafar's arrival, but Von D has previously explained that she intends on "raising a vegan child without vaccinations."

"If you don't know what it's like to have the entire world openly criticize, judge, throw uninformed opinions, and curse you "” try being an openly pregnant vegan on Instagram, having a natural, drug-free home birth in water with a midwife and doula, who has the intention of raising a vegan child, without vaccinations," she wrote in an Instagram that has since been deleted.

Of course, Von D's comments were met with quite the backlash, but it's unclear if the criticism has affected her decision at all.

Congratulations to the new parents!
