It's been a busy year for one of country music's power couple, but Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman squeezed in one more special surprise at the American Music Awards.
Since he moved to America from Australia in the '90s, Keith Urban has become one of country music's biggest names. His classic songs, including "Somebody Like You" and "You'll Think of Me," made him a star, and he's used that success to become a judge on American Idol and Australia's version of The Voice.
But Urban's wife Nicole Kidman keeps busy too. She was named Australia's richest celebrity earlier this year, and won an Emmy award for her role on the HBO show Big Little Lies, which she also produced. All that and these two still find time to spend with their daughters Faith Margaret and Sunday Rose.
This year, Urban was nominated for a number of awards at the AMAs, which are voted on by fans. His album Ripcord was up for the Favorite Country Album award, his song "Blue Ain't Your Color" was nominated for Favorite Country Singer, and Urban himself was nominated for Male Country Artist.
Urban was announced as the winner of that last award, but when he took the stage to accept it the presenters surprised everyone with a special announcement.
