Lisa Niemi Says There Was One Thing She Regretted About Her Marriage to Patrick Swayze

Hollywood couples are known for their short-lived marriages and expensive divorces.

Perhaps the most praised Hollywood couple in history is the romantic and long-lasting relationship between Lisa Niemi and Patrick Swayze.

They were married for 34-years, until Patrick passed away in 2009, only 22 months after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

The enduring couple first met in Texas at Patrick's mother's dance studio, where they were drawn to each other immediately.

The pair was described as synchronous on stage when they performed "All The Man That I Need" at the World Music Festival in 1994. It was described as one of the most beautiful dances ever televised.

But by no means did they have a fairytale romance many envisioned that they did. The couple separated for a year in 2003 because of Patrick's drinking problem, which resulted him checking into rehab.

"No relationship is perfect, you hang in there and you don't give up. And of course you are going to have bad times. I would be with Patrick a million times over if I could "” warts and all," Lisa said.

So what was her one regret while being married to the Dirty Dancer star?

After Patrick's untimely death, Lisa spoke to an audience with 14,000 women about her marriage with her soulmate.

"My regret is that I didn't tell him that I loved him enough over that entire 34 years," she confessed.

In 2009, at the Women's Conference in California, Lisa describes her love for her late husband and her coping mechanism after she learned about his illness.

It's undeniable that Lisa and Patrick's love for one another is an inspiration for everyone trying to sustain a strong marriage.
