Michael Buble Accidentally Reveals Gender Of Baby During Interview

Hello Magazine

When you're expecting a new baby, it can be hard to keep quiet about it. You want to tell everyone about your news, about your excitement, and about literally everything else involved. But when you're a celebrity, that luxury is not always available.

Privacy for those in the entertainment industry isn't easy to come by, so whenever you can keep some things to yourself, you take that opportunity.

Crooner Michael Buble tried keeping some things in his life private, but by a mistake of his own accord, ended up revealing a big family secret!

Just a few months ago, Buble hosted the Juno Awards, a Canadian music awards show, in his hometown of Vancouver. During the show, Buble commented on how the last time he hosted the Junos, he and his wife were expecting their first child. He followed that up with an exciting announcement.

"Oops, you did it again," he said. "My wife and I are pregnant with our No. 3 ... no, it's not Jim Cuddy's baby. I love you so much, mi amor."

Buble and his wife, Luisana Lopilato, were both on the red carpet for the awards, where she showed off her growing bump.

The couple already has two children together, Noah, 4, and Elias, 2, and there were reports that they were finally going to welcome a little girl to the family. Neither Buble nor Lopilato confirmed these rumors, but during a recent interview with TodayFM in Ireland, Buble accidentally let it slip.

"I got my first little girl coming in three weeks," the singer said, before realizing what he had done. "I've actually never said that before in public. I've got a daughter coming."

It's not like the world wouldn't have found out at some point, but from the sounds of it, Buble let a bit of a secret slip.

But you can understand why the Canadian singer would be thrilled to share happy news about his family. The past two years have been rough on the Bubles.

In November of 2016, Michael Buble and his wife, Luisana Lopilato, experienced every parent's worst nightmare. Their three-year-old son, Noah, was diagnosed with liver cancer.

We are devastated about the recent cancer diagnosis of our oldest son Noah who is currently undergoing treatment in the US. We have always been very vocal about the importance of family and the love we have for our children. Luisana and I have put our careers on hold in order to devote all our time and attention to helping Noah get well. At this difficult time, we ask only for your prayers and respect for our privacy. We have a long journey in front of us and hope that with the support of family, friends and fans around the world, we will win this battle, God willing.

Thankfully, Noah's treatment worked, and soon the family was able to celebrate his progress.

We are so grateful to report that our son Noah has been progressing well during his treatment and the doctors are very optimistic about the future for our little boy. He has been brave throughout and we continue to be inspired by his courage. We thank God for the strength he has given all of us. Our gratitude to his doctors and caretakers cannot be put into words.

We'd like to thank the thousands of people that have sent their prayers and good wishes to us. As we continue this journey we are greatly comforted by your support and love.

Buble gave an interview in December of 2017, saying Noah is "doing very well," and also talked about how the health struggle changed his life.

"I think life sort of teaches you these hard lessons sometimes," he said. "Part of that lesson is that it allowed me to really have perspective, and to really enjoy more than I ever have in my life. I enjoy the small things."

We are so happy that Buble and his family are able to celebrate the newest addition to their brood! If she looks anything like the other kids, she's going to be a cutie!!
