With biopics like Bohemian Rhapsody and The Dirt it is fair to say that Rock "˜n' Roll is certainly not dead. The popularity of these movies allow old and new fans to enjoy bands like Queen, Mí¶tley Crí¼e, Kiss, and the Rolling Stones, bringing a whole new era of Rock "˜n' Roll. With this increase in popularity these bands are touring again allowing fans enjoy their favorite bands live.

One band in particular were set to tour North America in April, however, due to a medical emergency was forced to put that tour on hold. The band that is suffering from this medical emergency is the Rolling Stones.

The Rolling Stones postponed their tour after its frontman Mick Jagger was set to have heart surgery.

The band released a statement last week stating that, "Mick has been advised by doctors that he cannot go on tour at this time, as he needs medical treatment. The doctors have advised Mick that he is expected to make a complete recovery so that he can go back on stage as soon as possible."

It was later discovered that Jagger was set to have heart surgery in New York in order to repair his heart valve.

Many news outlets are now reporting that Jagger has successfully completed his surgery and is now recovering. News outlets have also reported that doctors are currently monitoring the singer to ensure that no complications arise from the surgery.

The band has also released that the No Filter tour that was suppose to take place in April will now be taking place in July. This will give Jagger an opportunity to fully recover from his surgery. The band has promised that new tour dates will be released by the end of this week.

Although the band was able to salvage their tour, one appearance that the band will not be unable to make is Jazz Fest in New Orleans. However, if you have already purchased your tickets do not worry: the festival has announced that Fleetwood Mac will be taking the Rolling Stones' place.

Until then I wish Jagger a healthy and speedy recovery and look forward to seeing the performance that the Rolling Stones have planned for us on tour.
