Photographer Finds Unlikely Pair No One Could Have Predicted

The food chain is something that is taken quite seriously in the wild. There is a certain order and animals seem to follow that as if it's law. When something goes differently than expected everyone takes notice.

One of these rare situations was recently captured by wildlife photographer Lassi Rautiainen. He found something that he couldn't believe, it was a lone female wolf with a male brown bear at her side.

Obviously we will never know how this almost Disney-like friendship came together, but the photographer suspects that "perhaps they were both alone and they were young and a bit unsure of how to survive alone. It seems to me that they feel safe being together."

Rautiainen observed the pair for ten days to see how their relationship worked. He noticed that they would meet up all the time and not only that, but they would share food!

They spent a lot of time together over the ten days, even at one point joining a larger group of bears.

This kind of behavior is highly unusual for predators. Usually animals like to stick with those of their own species, but these two are friends no matter what the rules say!

How badly do you want a Disney origin story of this friendship?
