Samantha Markle, Meghan's Controversial Sister Had Lots To Say About The Baby News

On Monday, Kensington Palace announced the royals will be welcoming a new bundle of joy into the family.

Meghan Markle is expected to give birth to her first child with Prince Harry this upcoming spring, and has reportedly already had her 12-week scan.

While the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have spoken about desire to have children in the past, Harry shyly broke his silence over the exciting baby news at a reception in Sydney, Australia's Admiralty House.

"We also genuinely couldn't think of a better place to announce the, er, upcoming baby," Harry said, "whether it's a boy or a girl."

Of course, Harry wasn't the only one share his thoughts about his wife's pregnancy, as it was only a matter of time before Meghan's family addressed the joyous news.

"He heard the news before it was made public and was overjoyed."

Although Meghan's father Thomas Markle has made public pleas for a reconciliation, it seems it's all fallen on deaf ears at Kensington Palace.

According to Us Weekly, the Emmy winner was kept in the dark over Meghan's pregnancy and only found out she had a bun in the oven when Kensington Palace made the official announcement.

"Meghan did not tell Thomas Markle about the pregnancy," the source revealed. "He found out the same time as the rest of the world."

However, it's claimed Meghan told her mother Doria Ragland - who she has an incredibly close relationship with - right away.

"Doria is so delighted about the news of her first grandchild," the insider told the celebrity news outlet. "Doria has been helping Meghan through this time in her life immensely. Meghan really looks to Doria for all advice in anything she does."

However, another insider gave an opposing claim, alleging Doria told him about his future grandchild.

"Thomas is absolutely delighted. He heard the news before it was made public and was overjoyed. He thinks Meghan will make a great mum as she is already so maternal," the source told The Sun.

"Thomas sees this as a chance to fix the problems between him, Meghan and Harry. He is desperate to be there for his grandchild and wants to play an active role in their life."

It's said he then told his eldest daughter Samantha, who has been known speak up on the family's estrangement.

"It just makes everything that happened over the last year disappear."

Since Harry and Meghan announced their engagement last November, Samantha Markle has been vocal about the Suits alum's estrangement from the paternal side of her family.

On several occasions Samantha has slandered Meghan to the public, calling her a "DuchAss" and an ingrate to their father.

"I am not candy coating anything anymore! The DUCHASS should be humane to our father who has given her everything,.. and this media crap can stop! He was  the one who was always there for her. Fake waves and smiles can stop. The duchASS can bow to the daddy," she wrote on Twitter.

However, after nearly a year of insults, Samantha shocked the public when she told The Sun she was overjoyed with the baby news but insisted that Thomas should be included.

"It just makes everything that happened over the last year disappear. I want Meghan to be happy and calm and have peace. Everybody needs to be positive," she said.

"I would hope that "” for the sake of the baby, the family, the world and my dad "” that leaving him out of the statement was not intentional."

"I hope my dad is included and at a proper time. If he is excluded, I won't be happy. It is in the best interests of the baby for my dad to be included."

Samantha added that she loves her sister and hopes the child would help the family reconcile.

"I think we all have to safeguard against any negative or hurt feelings and just work towards a positive joyous new life in the world," she continued.

"At a proper time, there should be a sit-down wherein everyone can address this properly. Everything has to work itself out. I want to allow Meg and Harry to bring my dad into it in their own appropriate time because they very well should do. Although I can still say I love my sister, I wasn't happy with the way my father was being treated."

"But, you know, we're also seeing now that there was a lot going on "” there may have been a lot of stress."
