Teen Receives Last Golden Buzzer For Breathtaking Performance - But Some People Are Upset

Daily Mail / YouTube

Is it just me, or is this season of America's Got Talent more exciting than the previous ones?

Every week we're mesmerized by incredible auditions from dancers, singers, magicians, musicians, comedians, and more.

And once the talent competition added the "Golden Buzzer," which sends a contestant straight to the live shows, we became even more invested in the show.

My kids love acting like the judges and judging whose performance deserves to skip more rounds of competition.

So far six acts have received the Golden Buzzer.

Mel B chose 15-year-old powerhouse Amanda Mena for her spine-chilling performance of Arethra Franklin's classic "You Make Me Feel Like A Natural Woman."

Howie Mandel couldn't help but gravitate towards the Golden Buzzer after 13-year-old Courtney Hadwin's performance of Otis Redding's "Hard To Handle."

Simon Cowell was captivated by Michael Ketterer's rendition of "To Love Somebody."

Tyra Banks was wowed by the group Zurcaroh, which performed a spectacular acrobatic act.

And on a recent episode of AGT, supermodel Heidi Klum slammed down the Golden Buzzer for 15-year-old Makayla Phillips.

Undoubtedly, the performance was breathtaking - but Heidi's choice is being criticized by many...

Auditions were wrapping up and we were on our toes wondering which act Heidi would choose for her Golden Buzzer.

When Makayla belted a spine-chilling performance of Demi Lovato's "Warrior," we knew we had a winner.

The crowd cheered and gave the teen a standing ovation. Even the judges were beaming!

People were quick to give their opinions about Heidi's choice on Twitter. While some people congratulated Mikayla, others were upset over why four out of five Golden Buzzer acts have been singers.
