Vanessa Bryant isn't the only one blown away by the vibrant tattoo tribute she shared on Instagram.
Fans across the world are in awe. Steve Butcher, the artist who completed the piece is known for expanding his artistry past boundaries, the results of which can only be seen to be believed. His work is primarily known as hyper-realism; a category of tattoo art characterized by the depiction of real life and photo-realism.
What do you think of this?
“Just came across this", writes Vanessa Bryant on Instagram. "So amazing. What a BEAUTIFUL tribute to my Gigi and Kobe. Kobe would never want to outshine our baby girl,” wrote Vanessa, 37, in the caption of her re-shared photo. “Thank you for honoring them together❤️. @benji_kb24 This is really beautiful. @stevebutchertattoos.”
Kobe fans seem to agree. The post has racked up almost 2 million likes in the past 12 hours.
According to TMZ, Steve Butcher has been tattooing Kobe tributes weekly since the NBA legend's tragic helicopter crash in January.
I can see why his work is so coveted.
