Tek is a German Shepherd K9 officer with Georgia State Patrol in southwest Atlanta.
He and his partner, Trooper Jordan Ennis, were out for a drive when all of a sudden Ennis spotted something unsettling on the side of the road.
Together, cowering in a deserted subdivision forest, Tek and Ennis saw three sad faces looking over at them.
Three, tiny, scared puppies.
Tek and Ennis knew they had to act fast, as these puppies needed someone to take care of them. The duo pulled over and immediately rescued the puppies from the briar patch.
Once all the puppies were in the car, Tek made sure to sit with them and make them feel safe for the entire ride back to the station.
"[Ennis] knew no one was coming for them, so he and his K-9, Tek, brought the puppies to Headquarters where they were all promptly adopted," said the Georgia Department of Public Safety. "A Trooper never knows what he may encounter on a shift, but a day with puppies is a good day."
According to a Facebook post by the Georgia Department of Public Safety, all the puppies were adopted immediately by members of the staff.

While the person who abandoned these puppies will probably never be found, at least the little guys are safe and sound with loving homes!
