In the documentary, she explains that it was discovered when she was 17 and her periods were just not the same as the other girls' her age.</p><p><!-- [invalid-shortcode] --></p><p>It turns out that her vaginal opening was completely normal, but then it funneled up and split into a Y-shape with two vagainal canals.</p><p>When hormone treatments didn't help, she was forced to have a hysterectomy. </p><div><figure><amp-img src="https://www.shared.com/content/images/2017/04/RLP_MDG_010417BBC_1419JPG.jpg" srcset="https://www.shared.com/content/images/2017/04/RLP_MDG_010417BBC_1419JPG_GH_content_550px.jpg 550w" sizes="89vw" title="" alt="" height="9" width="16" layout="responsive"></amp-img><figcaption class="op-vertical-center"><cite>BBC</cite></figcaption></figure></div><p>Her condition put a strain on her relationships with friends and boyfriends. </p><p><a href="https://www.thesun.co.uk/living/3232600/woman-two-vaginas-rare-condition/">She said</a>: "Some guys view you as a trophy and a goal when they find out, like: "˜I had sex with a girl with two vaginas'. "I felt like a freak of nature."</p><p><!-- [invalid-shortcode] --></p><p>Now, she is happily married to the man she met 19 years ago in High School.
