The movies were very, very cheap</strong></p><p>Columbia Pictures, who made most of the Stooges' short films, &nbsp;were famously tight-fisted. Curly's famous walk is from a childhood accident</strong></p><p>One of Curly's signature gags was his "shuffle," his unusual limping walk. There wasn't much creativity behind this joke, just a bad accident.</p><p>When Curly was young he shot himself in the foot. He was too afraid to visit the doctor, so his limp was never fixed. A major star got her big break with the Stooges</strong></p><p>Recognize the actress in the picture below? It's Lucille Ball from <em><a href="https://www.shared.com/9-things-about-i-love-lucy-most-people-dont-know/" target="_blank">I Love Lucy</a></em>. One of Ball's first big breaks in show-business was a part in the Stooges' short <em>Three Little Pigskins</em>.</p><p>Even though hundreds of actors and actresses performed alongside the Stooges, only a handful had successful careers. Moe's haircut was real</strong></p><p>It seems unbelievable that anyone would willingly walk around with that bowl cut on their head, but it was very important to Moe.</p><p>His mother had wanted a girl, so as a child she kept Moe's curly hair long and flowing, which he was teased for.
