Prince Harry And Megan Markle Aren't The Only Royal Couple Set To Wed This Year

With mass media attention surrounding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's upcoming nuptials, royal watchers will be thrilled to hear that another marriage is set in the horizon for one of Queen Elizabeth II's grandchildren.

Buckingham Palace announced on January 22 that Princess Eugenie is set to wed her longtime boyfriend Jack Brooksbank, 31, this fall.

"The Duke and Duchess of York are delighted to announce the engagement of Princess Eugenie to Mr. Jack Brooksbank," the official royal family Twitter account posted.

The second child of Prince Edward and Sarah "Fergie" Ferguson became engaged to her beau while in Nicaragua earlier this month. The 27-year-old met the former manager of Mayfair club Mahiki while skiing, and have been together for seven years.

According to the CBC, the happy couple will tie the knot at St. George's Chapel in Windsor, the same venue Harry and Markle will marry in May.

Fergie was quick to shower her daughter and future son-in-law with congratulations in a series of tweets.

Brooksbank's parents, Nicola and George Brooksbank, also shared their enthusiasm over the news, and said they "couldn't be more delighted."

He's become a staple in the royal family, as he attended Pippa Middleton's wedding this past May, and was present at the Royal Ascot in June, a royal family tradition.

The royal family's longtime photographer Mark Steward said Brookbank is the perfect addition to the British monarchy.

"It was quite a big thing to go to. They looked very happy," longtime royals photographer Mark Stewart previously told PEOPLE. "[Andrew and Fergie] appear to be very fond of him."

They truly seem to be the perfect pair, as they've proven they can withstand long separations.

"He's not a jet-setty type," a source close to the couple said, adding they kept in touch via Skype.

The source also mentioned "They have lots of lovely friends" who support their union.
