Shortly after the news of his death, Cassidy's family revealed that he will not be given a funeral, instead "arrangements for a memorial will be announced at a later date." They made plans to cremate his body, then honor his memory in a private ceremony.

The actor and singer, best known for portraying teen heartthrob Keith Partridge on the 70s musical sitcom, had a row with some of his relatives for decades because of his alcoholism. A source told People that when Cassidy was admitted to the hospital for organ failure, the entire family reunited "in support of him."

"He was delighted to see them," they continued. "When his brother Patrick walked into the room, David lit up like a Christmas tree. There's been total resolution within the family. They will always be there for him."

Beau, Cassidy's son from his third marriage to Sue Shifrin, later wrote: "I'm so grateful that I was able to hold and love the best friend I'll ever have in his last moments."

Cassidy's only daughter, Katie was also by his side when he took his final breath. She later took to Twitter to share a tribute as well as her father's last words.

"Words cant express the solace our family's received from all the love & support during this trying time," Katie wrote. "My father's last words were 'So much wasted time'. This will be a daily reminder for me to share my gratitude with those I love as to never waste another minute....thank you."

Although the entire family reconciled before Cassidy's death, the entertainer still left one of his kids out of his will.

Cassidy reportedly left behind a tiny fortune, including assets and music memorabilia that he collected throughout his career.

The memorabilia is to be given to his three half-siblings, according to the will drafted in 2004. As for his assets, the document reveals that they're worth about $150,000, and they will be inherited by 26-year-old Beau. Katie, 31, was not included in the will.

"(A)ny references to his "˜child or children' are only to Beau and not to Katie ... It is my specific intent not to provide any benefits hereunder to Katherine Evelyn Cassidy and/or any descendant of Katherine Evelyn Cassidy," read the will.

Although, Katie, whose mother is model Sherry Williams, and her father did put their differences aside before his death, at the time when the will was written, she was estranged from Cassidy.

"Because I didn't raise her, I didn't have to parent her," Cassidy told People in 2009, and he was not exaggerating.

Katie, who currently stars on Arrow, was raised by her mother and stepfather, Richard Benedon. They have never bothered to explain what caused the rift between them, but people have speculated that it is because they spent too little time together.

It's also unclear whether or not Cassidy tried to include Katie in his will after they patched their relationship. In one of his final interviews, he said that he is grateful for the life he's lived despite all of the ups and downs.

"I love that I've had an amazing life that has touched millions of people all over the world," Cassidy said. "I'm flattered. The world needs more kindness."

Katie hasn't publicly commented on the news about her father's will.
