Dog Is Nervous About Getting Surgery, Then This Vet Steps In And Melts Our Hearts

Ladies and gentleman, meet the best vet you've ever seen.

Dr. Ross Henderson, of Fox Hollow Animal Hospital, has caught the attention of people across the country after video of him surfaced serenading a nervous pup headed for surgery.

"She was running around and jumping up on the kennel, whimpering," Henderson said. "I had my guitar there, so I decided to sing to her. She calmed down and put her head on my lap. It's a good testimony to how effective music can be."

<amp-facebook data-href="https://www.facebook.com/foxhollowvet/videos/1602892713084801" layout="responsive" height="600" width="640"></amp-facebook>

"My guitar lives here now," said the vet. "A lot of pets have never been to a veterinary hospital before, so anything we can do to love on them is good "” especially considering how much love they give to us."

<amp-img src="https://www.shared.com/content/images/2017/05/td-2017_04_article_main_desktop-3.jpg" srcset="https://www.shared.com/content/images/2017/05/td-2017_04_article_main_desktop-3_GH_content_550px.jpg 550w, https://www.shared.com/content/images/2017/05/td-2017_04_article_main_desktop-3_GH_content_650px.jpg 650w, https://www.shared.com/content/images/2017/05/td-2017_04_article_main_desktop-3_GH_content_750px.jpg 750w, https://www.shared.com/content/images/2017/05/td-2017_04_article_main_desktop-3_GH_content_850px.jpg 850w, https://www.shared.com/content/images/2017/05/td-2017_04_article_main_desktop-3_GH_content_950px.jpg 950w" sizes="89vw" title="" alt="" height="9" width="16" layout="responsive"></amp-img>
The Dodo

<amp-img src="https://www.shared.com/content/images/2017/05/td-2017_04_article_main_desktop-5.jpg" title="" alt="" height="9" width="16" layout="responsive"></amp-img>
The Dodo

The workers at the animal hospital have been using music to keep them calm for a while, but it's usually just singing. Now they've added instruments and it's even more effective.

But there is one animal who's immune.

<amp-img src="https://www.shared.com/content/images/2017/05/td-2017_04_article_main_desktop-4.jpg" title="" alt="" height="9" width="16" layout="responsive"></amp-img>
The Dodo

"We have an office cat, named Greg, who's immune to the music. It's probably because he hears us singing so much. Other animals really respond to it," said Henderson. "If we can inspire people to love on their pets by singing to them, then it's a victory for sure."
