There are two kinds of people in this world.

Some people hear that a dermatologist who pops nasty zits for a living has millions of devoted fans and thinks, "Ew!"  

Other say, "Where can I watch this?"

If you're in that second category, you'll want to tune in to Dr. Pimple Popper's new reality series on TLC.

Dr. Pimple Popper - a.k.a. Dr. Sandra Lee - is a dermatologist from southern California with a passion for popping icky, gooey zits.

Lee says she discovered the shady world of online pimple popping videos years ago, and realized no one had seen cases like hers.

It sounds unbelievable, but Lee's videos have earned her more than 2.5 million Instagram followers and 3.7 million YouTube subscribers.

The doctor calls her most dedicated fans "popoholics," and say they've watched so many hours of footage they can tell a cyst from a fluid sac like a real dermatologist.

Her viral fame earned Lee an hour-long special called This Is Zit, which offered unprecedented access to her gross but fascinating job.

Now, Lee is taking fans even deeper into her ooey, gooey world with a reality series on TLC.

And it looks like we're in for the grossest pops yet.

"We have really transformed their lives"

Compared to her online videos, Lee says the new six episode TV series will spend more time focusing on her patients, and their lives with embarrassing skin conditions.

"The difference between my YouTube series and this show is that with the show, you see the doctor-patient interaction and the patients' backstory," she explains.

Lee promises that the emotional stories of patients regaining their self-confidence will make you cry.

"You understand how devastating their condition really is," she said, "how it affects their everyday life and how they interact with others and the world."

"And afterward, we see how we have really transformed their lives!"

Along with the drama, the trailer for Lee's show features new and disgusting challenges, including "the biggest cyst I've ever seen in my life."

Despite how nauseating the footage is, Lee thinks that her show could actually help Americans come together.

"I feel like it's what we need right now," she said, "something that makes you feel good."

Dr. Pimple Popper the series premieres July 11 on TLC.
