This YouTuber decided to film a clam on the table before boiling it up for dinner.

When he sprinkled salt all over the table, something strange and a little unsettling happens. The clam shell slowly starts to open and a long, slimy appendage slithers out between the cracks. It appears to stretch out and "lick" the salt from the table.

Already 4 million viewers have tuned in to watch the creepy clam and question their taste in seafood. Some believed that it was the clams tongue that they were witnessing, others argued that no, it was it's foot.

According to biologist, Miriam Goldstein from Scripps Institution of Oceanography, the clam is most likely trying to find a place to dig. The appendage that emerges from the mollusk is actually a 'foot' that it uses to burrow itself in the sand.
