JFK's Only Grandson Is Grown Up and Looks Exactly Like Him

Once you see the young man who stepped out with Caroline Kennedy on his arm at the 2017 Met Gala, you will be forced to do a double-take until you figure out who he is.

No you have not gone back in time, the family genes are just that strong.

Caroline Kennedy is the daughter of late U.S. President John F. Kennedy and First Lady Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy.

Her father was assassinated just short of her sixth birthday, and her mother took her and her brother to settle in the Upper East Side of Manhattan.

She is the only surviving child of the couple, ever since her brother John Jr., passed away in a plane crash in 1999.

She met her future husband, exhibit designer Edwin Schlossberg, when she worked at the Manhattan's Metropolitan Museum of Art.

The couple were married in 1986 and have three children together, two girls and a boy.

None other than her youngest child, John Bouvier Kennedy Schlossberg, also known as Jack, the only grandson of JFK and Jackie O, escorted his mother to the prestigious event.

And the 24-year-old Yale grad is turning heads for more than just his looks.

Catching the eye of many, young Jack is really starting to live up to the name of his grandfather.

In 2015 and 2016 he presented the John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Awards and the older he gets, the more we can't help but see that strong family resemblance.

He graduated from Yale with a history degree that focused on Japanese history, the country his mother was the U.S. ambassador for.

Now 25 years old, Jack's resemblance to his late uncle John F. Kennedy Jr. is undeniable.

"[He] loves being compared to him," a family friend shared. And Jack is reportedly enjoying being in the spotlight too.

"Caroline is very caring but not a helicopter parent," another family friend says. "A supportive and low-key mom, she tries to maintain a sense of normalcy. But when you name your kid John Bouvier Kennedy Schlossberg he was going to be noticed."

That's why when the two of them stepped out to the Met Gala, people definitely took notice.

"He's very much focused on making his own path and not just the past. But he's not spending a lot of time thinking about his family's legacy or anything. He has to do his homework, study for exams and hang out with friends. He's not walking around with a big sign above him, he's proud of his family but he's modest," a source said.

Along with handing out the award named for his famous grandfather, Jack has given other hints that he's interested in taking up the family business.

He's been outspoken on all kinds of political issues, and defended his family name and accomplishments in print. Plus he often shares photos of another world leader on his Instagram page: Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

Jack has worked as a Senate page, and interned for Senator John Kerry.

Of course, he's also an Ivy League grad, and was a classmate of former First Daughter Michelle Obama.

But otherwise, Jack seems more interested in showing of his brawn than his brains, like when he's competed in charity paddle board races.

Then again, he did start a charity called RelightNY, which raised $100,000 to buy energy efficient light bulbs for New York's less fortunate citizens.

As he told NBC Today, "I'm inspired by my family's legacy of public service. It's something that I'm very proud of, but I'm still trying to make my own way, figure things out, so stay tuned."

While Schlossberg is a dead ringer for his uncle, his sister is famous for her resemblance to her grandmother, Jackie O.

Jack's sister Rose Kennedy Schlossberg has been bitten by the acting bug, and whenever she appears in a new role she draws comparisons to her famous grandmother.

In fact the New York Post calls her Jackie 2.0.

Jackie reportedly picked Rose's name, which pays tribute to her great-grandmother, and JFK's mother, Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy.

Jackie was also heavily involved in her granddaughter's life, taking her to museums and on field trips.

She lived just a few blocks from the Schlossbergs, and made a point of visiting them regularly.

Rose was also close with her famous uncle, John Jr., and reportedly took it hard when he passed away.

But unlike her brother, Rose simply has no interest in politics. She avoided political clubs in college and reportedly warned her mom not to run for U.S. senate.

Instead, she's focused on her acting career, which includes the web series she created, End Times Girls Club.

On the other hand, the third Schlossberg kid, Tatiana, strongly resembles her mother Caroline. And just like her older sister and younger brother, she's been living up to their storied family's legacy.

Tatiana is also a Yale grad, and she also earned a Master's in history from Oxford University in 2014.

On what would have been JFK's 100th birthday, Tatiana revealed that her passion for history helps her connect with her grandfather, telling People "While my grandfather had reverence for the past and the lessons it could impart, he also knew that America was a country where change was possible, where we aren't bound solely by tradition, if we understand the past with which we are breaking."

The former environmental journalist for The New York Times is currently working on writing her first book, looking at the "hidden effects of mass consumption."

In September 2017, she married her college sweetheart George Moran, on the same weekend as her famous grandparents tied the knot 64 years earlier.
