In the course of a week, Khloe Kardashian has been to hell and back.

Just days before Kardashian was set to give birth to her daughter, it was discovered that her boyfriend and father of her child, Tristan Thompson, had cheated on her, on multiple occasions.

Media outlets plastered the internet with reports of the "it" couple's fall from grace, destroying their reputation of having a fairy tale romance.

This revelation the Revenge Body host had been constantly posting pictures of her and her beau on social media, and praised him on his morals and ethics.

Kardashian told ES Magazine that Thompson's "morals and ethics are everything I've wanted and need in my life."

"... He accepts who I am. He likes to protect me, which I haven't had before "” someone looking out for me almost before himself," she said last April.

Before Kardashian began a relationship with the NBA star, she was in a tumultuous relationship with Lamar Odom, and was also linked to French Montana, James Harden, and Trey Songz, but said her relationship with Thompson was the best one she's ever had.

"I'm in the best relationship I've ever been in, and it doesn't take a ring for me to feel that way," Kardashian said in an interview with YOU in August. "I believe in marriage, and I want to be married again one day, but I don't have a time frame. Why do people think that marriage equates to happiness? There are a lot of people in unhealthy marriages."

Sadly, Kardashian's happiness wouldn't last forever, as footage from April 6 revealed Thompson had cheated on the Good American designer with a woman in New York City. Photos also showed the two entering the same hotel later that night.

Things went from bad to worse for Kardashian, as it was discovered Thompson's infidelity dated back to at least October, when he was seen with two other women in a nightclub. Video captured Tristan touching the women intimately, motor-boating one, and kissing them both.

"Tristan has been consistently cheating on Khloé. He's a serial cheater. And there will be more women to come out of the woodwork," a source told PEOPLE. "First Lamar cheated on her and now Tristan. She's been through so much."

When public found out Thompson had been unfaithful, they weren't afraid to take to social media to voice their opinions, which were more ruthless than you could imagine.

Even though Kardashian is known as one of the more savvy members of her famous family, it was reported she was ignorant to the infidelity going on behind her back.  

"As far as she knew, there were no negatives," an insider said. "Once she made the decision to commit, she was all in and trusting. He was her everything. They had a life together. She honestly thought he treated her like gold, like a queen. [He] gave her everything, doted on her, told her how beautiful she was. To her, life was perfect. And it all just came crashing down."

But, since people love a good celebrity scandal, they couldn't help but comment on the demise of Kardashian's picture perfect life.

One person said President Trump should get involved.

Someone else joked about the "Kardashian Curse," which sees all the men involved with famous sisters see an inevitable downfall in their careers.

While another commented Kardashian's fortune will help take the pain away.

Since Kardashian's due date was only a few days away, fans of Keeping Up with the Kardashians hypothesized the drama was orchestrated by the family's matriarch, Kris Jenner.

Of course, there would be unsympathetic Twitter users who placed the blame of the scandal on Kardashian herself.

But luckily, most have shown compassion towards the reality star during this difficult time.

Fans of Kardashian also took to Instagram to post a series of "I hope..." statements on Thompson's pictures, which were equal parts hilarious and mercilessness.

Less than a week later, social media users would become even more rampant with their comments when it was announced Kardashian gave birth to her little bundle of joy, and revealed her name.

A few days after giving birth on April 12, Kardashian took to Instagram to announce she had named her daughter True Thompson, who weighed 6 lbs.,13 oz., and measured 21 inches in length.

"Our little girl, True Thompson, has completely stolen our hearts and we are overwhelmed with LOVE," Kardashian wrote in the caption of a photo of a room filled with pink balloons and flowers. "Such a blessing to welcome this angel into the family! Mommy and Daddy loooooove you True!"

While it's an unusual moniker, the Kardashian-Jenners are known for their unique baby names.

As expected, the public also had to share their reaction, and they failed to ease up on the new mother.

A few pointed out the irony in the little girl's name.  

Someone else pointed the similarities between Kardashian's daughter and niece's name.

And another brought the obscurity to all celebrity baby names into question.

Not long after Kardashian announced her daughter's name, her mother took to social media to explain the reason behind it.

"I'm so excited to welcome my precious little granddaughter True!!! FUN FACT... my Grandfather's name on my Dad's side was True Otis Houghton....my real Dad's name was Robert True Houghton...so i am so excited Khloe named her daughter True!!! #lovebug#familytradition#family," Jenner shared.

While fans began to accept True's first name, they were dumbfounded when they found out Kardashian gave her daughter Thompson's last name instead of hers.

Despite the shock, TMZ revealed it was a difficult decision for Kardashian to make.

While she and the Cleveland Cavilers basketball player only decided on the name True a month ago, she was adamant their daughter would take Thompson's last name. But when the cheating scandal broke out, Kardashian was hesitant to stick to the original plan.

It was only until a few days after True was born that she decided "to do the right thing" and go with the Thompson surname.
