The staff at a New Zealand vet clinic didn't hesitate to bring in the box of tabby kittens they found on the clinic's step.
The four babies were between three and four weeks old. Three males and a black female tabby were found snuggling closely together.
Staff brought them in and give them a warm fuzzy blanket to cuddle-up on. It wasn't until the next day that they realized that something wasn't right.
Staff at the clinic noticed a tabby cat skulking around the building. Whenever someone opened the door, she would try her best to dart inside.
The determined cat refused to give up and after several attempts, staff at the Mill Road Vet Clinic decided to let her in.
When they got a closer look at her, they realized that she wasn't just an ordinary tabby, but a nursing mother!
They brought her to the hungry kittens and witnessed a "very happy reunion." According to their Facebook post about the events, staff at Mill Road figured that the mother had been in the box too, but had jumped out before anyone arrived at the clinic.
"She's probably been prowling around all night looking for her kidnapped kittens!"
We know it's true - nothing can stand in the way of a mother's love!
