Romeo and Juliet Were Born In the Same Hospital Just Hours Apart

This is a love story in the making.

Two babies, born hours apart, to 2 sets of parents who have never met before, found themselves named after history's most famous couple.

Romeo Hernandez and Juliet Shifflett were both delivered by the same doctor at the Coastal Carolina Hospital in Hardeeville, South Carolina over the weekend.

Both babies were scheduled to be induced on March 26, but surprisingly came early. Even though they were born in the rooms next to each other, the babies' parents had never met and had no idea that their children had kismet names.

It wasn't until baby photographer Cassie Clayshulte pointed it out that both families crossed paths.

"I go into the hospital every Monday Wednesday and Friday morning to provide sessions for any moms who would like them," Clayshuite told Scary Mommy. "Both parents had hired me to do their sessions that morning when I realized what their names were!"

Morgan and Edwin Hernandez welcome baby Romeo at 2:06 PM on Sunday.

Exactly 18 hours and 8 minutes later, their hospital neighbors Christiana and Allan Shifflett welcomed their daughter Juliet.

Neither family named the baby after the famous couple.

'It's funny because we didn't even name him Romeo after Shakespeare,' Morgan said to CBS News. 'We named him after a singer named Romeo Santos that my husband and I both love."

The Shifletts also chose their name for reasons other than the classical inspiration.

"We wanted a J name to go with our son's name, Jonas. We picked Juliet because we were watching the TV show 'Psych' and the character's name is Jules." Christiana said.

"It just shows even more that it's fate "” they just happened to be in the room next to each other." Cassie told CBS News.
