This hand-painted mini cactus totally rocks

No need to worry if you weren't born with a green thumb, this adorable DIY cactus will take care of itself! All you'll need are a few paints, a small clay pot and a couple river rocks and you're set! It's so easy to make, even the kids can get in on the fun, yet stylish enough that you're friends will ask you where you bought it.

Take the guess work out of gardening and add a fun splash of color to any desk, bookshelf or windowsill. I can't wait to add these as a funky centerpiece for my next Tex Mex themed cookout!

Materials:

  • Craft Paint
  • Paint Brushes
  • River Rocks
  • Mini Pots
  • Small Black and White Rocks

Directions:

First wash the rocks and make sure all the dirt has been rinsed off.

Sort your rocks. Choose rocks that have different heights. You want to have dimension.

Paint your pots and let them dry.

Paint the rocks different shades of green with white details to make them look like different types of cacti.

Once the pots are dry and the cacti are done, fill your pots with the small black and white rocks.

Add your cacti to the pots.

You're done! These little cactus pots are super cute and make a great addition to any desk, side table or bathroom counter.
