Here's a cute little way to add some outdoor decorations to your home! This beautiful front door decor is simple to make, and beautiful touch to any country home. All you need is a couple of supplies, a bit of time, and there you have it!
If you're like me and your free hand writing skills aren't the greatest, then you can do as I did and purchase whatever type of stencil you would like to use and go down that path. Be sure to allow the paint to dry prior to removing the stencil so that you don't smudge any of the paint over the wood.
I found this sign to be a little bit different than what you would normally see, so it's great alternative to a front door wreath if that's the way you're looking to go. You could also change up the flowers in the mason jar to go along with the seasons and holidays, that way you'll always be properly decorated for whatever time of year it is!
Here's some other DIY crafts to try:
1. Begin by sanding down your piece of wood so that the surface and edges are smooth. Wipe clean.
2. Select the stencil you wish to use, and place it over the board where you would like to have your word or phrase. Tape it down so that it does not move while painting.
3. Begin to paint the stencil with whatever color you choose. Set aside to dry.
4. After the paint has dried, you can remove the stencil. Do not attempt to remove the stencil while paint is still wet or you may end up with smudging.
5. Next, screw in the stainless steel bracket to the board at the height you desire.
6. Attach your mason jar into the bracket and use your flat head screwdriver to tighten the bracket.
7. Turn your board upright, and screw in two eye hooks on each end of the board.
8. Use a piece of twine and secure the the ends to each of the eye hooks. Measure your twine to desired height that you would like your sign to hang from.
9. Lastly, place faux flowers of your choice into the mason jar.
