Chick-fil-A Better Watch Its Back, This New Chicken Finger Fast Food Chain Brings The Heat

Business Insider

Most Americans have tasted the tender, crunchy Chick-n-Strips or devoured the delicious Smokehouse BBQ Bacon Sandwich on offer at Chick-fil-A.

The chicken fare restaurant first opened in 1946 with a vision of offering more than a good sandwich. Since then, the company has found success across the nation.

This year is no exception. Business Insider reports that Chick-fil-A has had a standout year, opening its 2,000th location and reaching incredibly high sales per unit totalling about $3.9 million!

The numbers look good, but there's a new chicken restaurant in town and it's closing in on the market...

Raising Cane's is a chicken-finger chain that offers tasty Texas toast along with breaded chicken sandwiches and crinkle-cut fries. The simple menu is attracting a lot of attention and their signature Cane's Sauce has definitely got people talking.

The Business Insider rates it as the fastest growing restaurant chain in the United States and it is proving to be some serious competition for Chick-fil-A.

While they're small by comparison - only 310 locations - the company has opened 59 new restaurants in the past year and already reported $640.5 million of sales in 2016.

As they close in on Chick-fil-A's market, do you think they can compete?
