Cassidy reportedly left behind a tiny fortune, including assets and music memorabilia that he collected throughout his career.
The memorabilia is to be given to his three half-siblings, according to the will drafted in 2004. As for his assets, the document reveals that they're worth about $150,000, and they will be inherited by 26-year-old Beau. Katie, 31, was not included in the will.
“(A)ny references to his ‘child or children’ are only to Beau and not to Katie ... It is my specific intent not to provide any benefits hereunder to Katherine Evelyn Cassidy and/or any descendant of Katherine Evelyn Cassidy,” read the will.
Although, Katie, whose mother is model Sherry Williams, and her father did put their differences aside before his death, at the time when the will was written, she was estranged from Cassidy.
“Because I didn’t raise her, I didn’t have to parent her,” Cassidy told People in 2009, and he was not exaggerating.
Katie, who currently stars on Arrow, was raised by her mother and stepfather, Richard Benedon. They have never bothered to explain what caused the rift between them, but people have speculated that it is because they spent too little time together.
It's also unclear whether or not Cassidy tried to include Katie in his will after they patched their relationship. In one of his final interviews, he said that he is grateful for the life he's lived despite all of the ups and downs.
"I love that I’ve had an amazing life that has touched millions of people all over the world," Cassidy said. "I’m flattered. The world needs more kindness."
Katie hasn't publicly commented on the news about her father's will.
