Dog The Bounty Hunter Provides Update On Beth's Cancer Diagnosis

The last couple of months have been extremely tough for Duane "Dog" Chapman and his wife Beth. The couple, best known for their A&E reality show Dog the Bounty Hunter, announced that Beth was diagnosed with throat cancer back in September, after she had been experiencing a persistent cough.

A few weeks after the shocking revelation, Beth underwent a 12-hour surgery to remove the "plum-sized tumor" that had been blocking her breathing. Since Beth's diagnosis, the pair have been keeping their fans in the loop about her prognosis, and in their last update they shared that doctors gave her "50/50 chances."

Beth's fight is also documented in their two-hour A&E special Dog and Beth: Fight of Their Lives. During the heartbreaking trailer, Beth admitted that although she will keep up the fight, she doesn't "see a lot of optimism."

Shortly after the trailer aired, Dog and Beth, who have been married for 16 years, sat down for an exclusive interview with People, to discuss Beth's journey, and how she has been coping.

"I take it one day at a time," Beth told People. "And I believe in the power of prayer." Dog added, "She's very tough, and she can beat this."

Dog has been Beth's biggest supporter throughout the dark times.

"When we made a pledge many years ago I said I'd love her in sickness and in health until death do us part," said Dog. "And that truth has really, really come alive in my mind. And I have to stand on that; I gave her an oath that I would love her forever. And thank God it's not till death do us part at this point."

At the time, Beth still had to undergo multiple tests in order to determine the next course of treatment. Now, a week since their interview, Dog has some good news about his wife's cancer prognosis.

During their A&E special, which aired on November 27, Dog received the life-changing phone call he's been waiting for since his wife was diagnosed with throat cancer.

"If you love me, Lord, you'll let me die first. Don't let me bury Bethy," Dog told the cameras before answering the call about his wife's pathology report.

He then turned to his family, to share the good news: "Hello, attention. No cancer."

Overwhelmed by the happy news, Dog once again spoke to the camera, "There is a God. This could be a miracle. This could be a healing."

The bounty hunter's support has been key during the entire ordeal, and even the doctors agreed.

"[The doctor] said if I wasn't such a good husband it wouldn't have worked out that great," said Dog. "Oh, I can breathe. Beth Chapman, you did it."

Beth has yet to comment on being in remission, but during her last interview, she had one important message to share.

"Early detection is key," Beth said. "I probably had the scratchy throat for a year. When something feels wrong, you need to get it checked immediately. That's the lesson here. Also, everyone needs to pay attention to what you put in your body. Your diet is so important."

We are so relieved Beth won her battle against cancer!
