I think we can all agree that Jennifer Lopez is one of the most stunning human beings on this planet. In fact, it might be easier to believe that she isn't from this planet, because no one should look that good.
Either way, this goddess-like creature is not only absolutely stunning, but she's also incredibly talented. Between her music career, her movies, and her television shows, she's created a huge empire for herself.
But the thing is, no matter how many years pass, she still looks just like she did when she first explained that she's just "Jenny from the block."
How does she do it? Surgery? Pricey creams? Witchcraft? Well, apparently it's none of those things. She recently opened up to Haper's Bazaar about what she's actually doing to stay young, and obviously it's working.
Lopez has one main philosophy that has kept her skin clear and her body unbelievable, and it's positive thinking. The superstar has affirmations around her house, and repeats them to herself throughout the day.
"Affirmations are so important. I am youthful and timeless. I tell myself that every day, a few times a day. It sounds like clichéd bullshit, but it's not: Age is all in your mind. Look at Jane Fonda."
However, it's not just the power of positive thinking, Lopez has a busy schedule and does work out a lot. She does hot yoga, she runs, she does Kirsch, which she says is a lot of "lifting and doing core stuff and planking and all of that."
She actually trains with her boyfriend, Alex Rodriguez, who was a baseball player, so it's clear that she can keep up. He even claims that she's a better athlete than he is!
Rodriguez also insists that his girlfriend focuses on taking care of herself. "She really leans in to the big fundamentals, like getting her rest, eight to 10 hours," he said. "She doesn't drink, doesn't smoke. She lives a very clean life."
While staying away from alcohol and cigarettes can help you stay young, there's something about her that seems more youthful than ever before. Honestly, my money is on how happy she is.
"When I was younger I spent a lot of time being half happy and half not happy. [But now] I know who I am and what I want. I also know my strengths and weaknesses. It took me a long time to get to a point where I could say something nice about myself. I'm glad I can do that now."
Lopez looks better now than ever before, and I guess that's what happens when you find a way to be truly happy doing what you love.
